A Lifetime of Practice and Teaching

Vishvapani’s methods are deeply rooted in his Buddhist background. Having begun practicing mindfulness at just 14 years old, he went on to become a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order in 1992. Over the years, he has used his experience to help individuals pause, reflect, and counter intrusive thoughts—often thoughts they didn’t even realize were weighing them down. His teachings emphasize self-awareness, compassion, and being present in the moment, encouraging people to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives in a way that feels natural and sustainable.

Spreading the Message of Mindfulness

Vishvapani’s influence extends beyond the classroom. His deep knowledge of Buddhism and mindfulness has led to numerous opportunities to share his insights with a wider audience:

  • He is the author of Gautama Buddha: The Life and Teachings of the Awakened One, a compelling biography of the Buddha published by Quercus.
  • He is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4’s ‘Thought for the Day’, where he shares reflective and thought-provoking perspectives on mindfulness and modern life.
  • He collaborated with C60Media to create a two-minute animated episode of The Wellness Workout, bringing mindfulness to an even broader audience in an engaging, accessible format.
